Michael Eaton has been providing the corporate hospitality industry with his unique
blend of close-up magic and light-hearted comedy. Influenced by the likes of
David Copperfield and Lance Burton as a child, Michael had his very first magic
set just after he turned 12. It wasn’t long before he was performing for
friends and family members and was soon approached to do his first paying gig
at the age of 15. “When I got the check I said to myself, ‘I’m never going to have a ‘real’ job again!’” jokes Eaton. Soon after Michael’s “magical journey” took off! In 1994 Michael worked for Magic Max (formerly Old Town Magic) in Orlando, FL at the Mercado Shopping Village on International Drive. Here, he worked as a magic demonstrator selling magic novelties to tourists from all over the world. In 2003 Michael and friends Justin Perry and Jason Fields started “Sly Guys” Magic Shop inside Southern Ohio’s largest theme park King’s Island. There, they created, manufactured and pitched their own product line of magic effects. In 2004 “Sly Guys” closed it’s doors and Michael moved back to Lexington where he continued to perform at several fine-dining eateries including Portofino, Bella Notte, and Malone’s. His services were in high-demand by the area’s elite social circles. In Spring 2003 Michael was personally invited by then Governor of Kentucky Paul Patton to entertain his 300+ guests on board the prestigious Kentucky Derby Governor’s Train. These included Japanese and German dignitaries, several celebrities, and members of the United States Congress. In 2006 Michael moved back to his hometown of Orlando, FL. He met up with Attillio Sisofo, founder of Theatre Magic at Universal studios Orlando. Theatre Magic is one of the world’s largest magic retailers. Michael was brought on as lead graphic designer and art director. Together, Eaton and Sisofo collaborated on a rather large plan for Theatre Magic’s product line. In 2007, Jason Fields again teamed up with Eaton and helped Sisofo create the entire 150+ item product line for all three stores located in Historic St. Augustine, FL, Universal Studios Orlando, and Island of Adventure, Universal’s sister park. In 2009 Eaton teamed up with world-renown magician and corporate speaker Kostya Kimlat to form Restaurant Magic Business (RMB), a company specializing with in-house promotions and “magical marketing” solutions. Kimlat has been performing his elegant magic dinner show at local favorite eatery Del Frisco’s Prime Steak and Lobster in Maitland, FL. Now, the RMB team has over 60 magicians nationwide and perform at various fine dining restaurants. You can see a full schedule of the RMB team by visitng their national magicians directory at www.SeeLiveMagic.com. That same year, Eaton and Kimlat became the Official Magicians for the Orlando Magic NBA organization. Together they perform at every home game at the incredible brand new multi-million dollar Amway Center in downtown Orlando. Performances can be seen throughout the evening at the Mercedes-Benz lounge, Gentleman Jack Terrace Bar, Budweiser Baseline Bar, and Jernigan's Restaurant located on the Club level of the arena. Since then, Michael has performed for over 150 Fortune 500 companies, 75 restaurant food chains, and several high-profile celebrities. |
